| Summary: | Objetive: Identify the most effective interventions for postural control in motor development disorders in the pediatric population.
Methodology: This systematic review was carried out under the recommendations of PRISMA 2020. The methodological quality of the articles was evaluated using the PEDro scale. The search was carried out in the following databases: Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Scielo and Cochrane Library.
Results: There is a wide variety of research available on the pathologies most reported by the authors, including cerebral palsy, coordination disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome, addressing topics such as specific therapeutic interventions for each condition. For the population with cerebral palsy, it was found that the intervention with the best effectiveness is the use of technologies in rehabilitation and virtual reality, identifying significant changes in postural control. In coordination disorder, the effectiveness was with strength training. However, when addressing patients with Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, the studies reflect divergent results, which makes it difficult to accurately identify the most effective intervention in terms of postural control for this population.
Conclusions: Virtual Reality demonstrates benefits in postural control in users with Cerebral Palsy. However, for other diagnoses, the lack of quality interventions that support the effectiveness of these techniques is evident, given the diversity of proposed approaches, recognizing the need to conduct more research to continue perfecting physiotherapeutic strategies in the field of Neurorehabilitation.
