Literature review in databases: ProQuest, Science Direct, Dialnet, and Google Scholar. Eleven studies related to the child population were included. Eleven documents were selected that developed three categories: pharmacological interventions, non-pharmacological interventions, and combined interventions, demonstrating that the quality of life for infants and their families can be optimized.
In conclusion, non-pharmacological interventions, such as music therapy, physical exercise, massage, family environment, among others, are important for people, respecting their own characteristics and needs. In relation to non-pharmacological intervention, it prioritizes pain relief, organ defense and prolongs the life of the infant with cancer; and combined interventions allow for integrality in care, promoting the comfort and confidence of the family. |
