Summary:The article deals with training in ICT competencies for teachers, focusing on the San Fernando branch of a school in the context of reading fluency, with the objective of presenting the experiences related to the construction of a training program aimed at strengthening competencies in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the pedagogical practices of teachers. The methodology involves the assessment of the pedagogical practice reconstructed through collective reflections, surveys, analysis of field diaries and interviews, using evaluation criteria such as relevance, updating, objectivity, applicability, sufficiency, effectiveness, efficiency, comprehensiveness, relevance and coherence. The results reveal improvements in ICT skills, increased confidence in the use of technological resources and greater motivation to integrate ICT in teaching. However, weaknesses are identified in the initial training of teachers in ICT competencies. The conclusion highlights the importance of focusing training on the context and needs, recognizing the key role of co-responsibility between educators and the Ministry of National Education, the positive transformation of pedagogical practices is highlighted, evidencing the training program.
