| Summary: | This work was done in rotatory vacuum filters of a sugar mill in the Cauca Valle and aims to generate a proposal to reduce the loss of sucrose in zone, for the preparation of this proposal was used Six Sigma methodology and tools. The use of tools focused on the filtration area of filter cake, to make the cause-effect analysis found that the machine (rotary vacuum filters), provided the process variability due to lack of proper operating conditions of each one of the filters, to determine these conditions the experimental design was used, which included the factors A: drum speed and B: water pressure washing and response variables humidity and sucrose in rum and then progress to use the graph outline superimposed as a method of simultaneous optimization of response variables in each of the filters, resulting in a work area where you can get sucrose and low humidity. |
