Abstract: A superconducting undulator prototype with 12 mm period and 0.7 T magnetic field has been developed at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics (Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences). The vertical beam aperture is 5 mm, while the magnetic gap is 7 mm. The article justifies the choice of undulator parameters, describes its design, based on a horizontal racetrack with neutral poles, and provides the calculated characteristics of the undulator and the radiation generated by it.
