| Abstract: |
The article focuses on the 40th anniversary of the Journal of Computer Science and Technology (JCST), China’s first English-language academic journal in computing, founded in 1986 by Professor Xia Peisu at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It outlines JCST’s development through four phases, highlighting its growth from foundational international engagement to embracing open-source initiatives and global outreach. The journal has achieved significant international impact, with a diverse authorship and reviewer base, and has published landmark research including contributions on the Tianhe supercomputer and the Loongson processor family. To mark its anniversary, JCST released a special issue featuring 24 articles across six thematic areas, reflecting collaboration between leading institutions in China and the United States. Looking ahead, JCST aims to maintain rigorous academic standards while adapting to evolving research landscapes, particularly in artificial intelligence. [Extracted from the article] |
