Abstract (English): Before referring to educational innovation, we need to determine what we mean by perfecting both the educational act and the growth process of the people involved. Inspired by the way of understanding personal development of Leonardo Polo and Erik Erikson, among other authors, we analyse the anthropological and psychological requirements which are necessary for novelty to emerge both in each educational act and in the actors involved in it. We find that novelty emerges within each educational act when competence is placed at the service of the transformation of the world for the sake of interpersonal encounter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
