| Abstract (English): | Shemuel Romanelli (1757-1814) was a Jewish and Italian writer and translator. In addition to occasional poetry and drama, he also wrote a grammar of the Hebrew language and a travelogue about Morocco, the “ Maśśa ba-‘Arav” (“Prophecy on Arabia”). Despite Romanelli being a figure of great interest for both Hebrew and Italian literature, most of his production still escapes the attention of scholars: a complete study on the author and his literary works is yet to be done. This article briefly presents three of his texts, as an example of Romanelli's interests and style: the Ma śśa ba-‘Arav (Berlin, 1792), the melodrama ‘Alot ha-Min ḥah (Wien, 1793) and the Grammatica ragionata italiana ed ebraica (Trieste, 1799). | Abstract (Italian): | Shemuel Romanelli (1757-1814) fu scrittore e traduttore in ebraico e in italiano.
