Abstract (English): Based on rejection towards art shown by students of Faculty of Education, we carried out qualitative research with them with 160 life stories, collected during three courses, regarding their life experience with artistic education since childhood. The aim was to identify the origin and function as a tool for possible prospects. We have processed the data with the software Atlas.ti8 and analyzed and discussed the results. On the one hand, it is concluded that the students have witnessed in their childhood and adolescence the undervaluation suffered by the area of artistic education in society and in the educational system. On the other hand, the erroneous didactics and, above all, the negative behavior of the teachers, are the origin of that rejection and creators of the idea in the students that they do not have capacities for satisfactory learning in this area. The cases of reversal of this feeling have their cause in the support and positive influence of good teachers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): Ante la situación de rechazo hacia el arte que muestra el alumnado universitario de educación, llevamos a cabo con ellos una investigación cualitativa con 160 historias de vida recopiladas durante tres cursos respecto a su experiencia vital con la educación artística desde la infancia. El objetivo fue identificar el origen y funcionar como herramienta para posibles prospectivas. Hemos procesado los datos con el programa Atlas.ti8, analizado y discutido los resultados. Concluimos, por una parte, que el alumnado ha sido testigo en su infancia y en su adolescencia de la infravaloración que sufre el área de la educación artística en la sociedad y en el sistema educativo. Por otra parte, que las didácticas erróneas y, sobre todo, el comportamiento negativo de los docentes, son el origen de dicho rechazo y creadores de la idea en el alumnado de que no tienen capacidades para el aprendizaje satisfactorio en esta área. Los casos de reversión de este sentimiento tienen su causa en el apoyo e influencia positiva de buenos docentes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Portuguese): Dada a situação de rejeição à arte demonstrada pelos estudantes do ensino universitário, realizamos com eles uma investigação qualitativa com 160 histórias de vida coletadas durante três cursos sobre sua experiência de vida com educação artística desde a infância. O objetivo foi identificar a origem e funcionar como ferramenta para possíveis prospectos. Processamos os dados com o programa Atlas.ti8, analisamos e discutimos os resultados. Concluímos, por um lado, que os alunos têm testemunhado na sua infância e adolescência a desvalorização que a área da educação artística sofre na sociedade e no sistema educativo. Por outro lado, a didática errada e, sobretudo, o comportamento negativo dos professores, são a origem dessa rejeição e criadores da ideia nos alunos de que não têm capacidades para uma aprendizagem satisfatória nesta área. Os casos de reversão desse sentimento têm como causa o apoio e a influência positiva de bons professores. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
