Abstract (English): Introduction: The objective is to determine whether a juvenile facility contributes to the improvement of social skills and the reduction of aggressive or violent behaviours in juvenile offenders. Method: A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest quantitative design was used, applied to n= 40 individuals. Three pretest/posttest instruments were administered to this sample to determine whether a juvenile facility contributes to the improvement of social skills and the reduction of aggressive or violent behaviour. Results and discussion: The results did not show statistically significant differences in the level of improvement of social skills and psychological development or in the reduction of aggression (p > 0.05), but there were significant positive correlations (p < 0.001).
