This article focuses on the international educational collaboration between Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG) state officers from Finland and Louisiana, initiated during the 2023 DKG conference in Tampere, Finland. The project involved Louisiana educators visiting Finnish schools in February 2025 to study Finland’s acclaimed education system, emphasizing student and teacher autonomy, equity, and holistic development. The collaboration aimed to explore Finnish best practices in areas such as special education, early literacy, and teacher preparation, with the goal of informing improvements in Louisiana’s education system.
