The article focuses on the efforts of Education Secretary Lauro F. Cavazos and Interior Secretary Manuel Lujan Jr. to support initiatives to improve the education of Native Americans in Nevada. Cavazos talked about the importance of assessing the state of Native American education in federally supported Native American schools. School officials praised the efforts of both Cavazos and Lujan. The author discusses the measures implemented for such schools. |
