Abstract: ABSTRACT: Due to the significant growth in the number of students with disabilities entering higher education and the corresponding increase in postsecondary disability personnel who ensure these students are provided equal educational opportunity, it is necessary to define the knowledge and skills required of postsecondary disability service providers. Moreover, present and future service providers should also have opportunities to master these competencies. Fortunately, professional standards for postsecondary disability personnel have recently been developed and staff development opportunities proliferate.
