| Abstract: |
The article focuses on how to obtain legislative funding for public libraries in the U.S. The author stresses the importance of selecting the best person to advocate for the library. Reportedly, previously unfunded requests can often be realized when an appeal is made by a community member as opposed to an employee of the library. A how to list of advice is presented regarding in-person meetings with elected officials including preparing for the meeting, conducting the meeting, and following up after the meeting. |
