Abstract: The article discusses the use of tutors to support students in high-enrollment distance education courses. The author describes a pilot tutoring program run by Assistant Director Peter Williams of Brigham Young University (BYU) Independent Study and BYU adjunct professor Scott Howell. Williams and Howell's findings on demand, sustainability, logistics, and scalability of tutoring programs are presented.
