| Abstract: |
The article discusses a study by the Urban Institute, which shows that mathematics, science, and reading scores at the elementary and secondary level have increased. The report was co-written by Hal Salzman of the Urban Institute and B. Lindsay Lowell of Georgetown University. Salzman and Lowell also reportedly found that enrollment in science and mathematics classes is high. The average number of math and science credits earned by high school students in 1982 and 1998 was compared. |
