Abstract: The article discusses the importance of conversation between children and early childhood professionals in preschool classrooms. The author explains how conversation can be the unifying factor that connects all of the new trends in early childhood education. It presents the new trends in early childhood education which include early literacy, social and emotional development in early childhood education. The author also suggests to support the richness and depth of language in all languages of the classroom to help young children maintain their home language and gain skills in English.
