The article focuses on the life of Mike Rose, the author of the book "Lives on the Boundary, The Struggles and Achievements of America's Unprepared." Son of Italian Immigrants in the U.S., Mike Rose was born in 1943 in Pennsylvania, and migrated to South Vermont in Los Angeles, California in 1950 with his family. Mike attended school at Catholic High School, Our Lady of Mercy where he met Jack MacFarland, an English teacher that gave Mike inspirations. Accordingly, Mike Rose is a well-accomplished storyteller and a dedicated successful educator who continue to give inspirations to children today. |
