Abstract: The article discusses the creation of Turtle Girls, a club devoted to support sea turtles. The author narrates that it was established after the students visit to The Turtle Hospital in Marathon, Florida, where they learned about the variety of sea turtle, their characteristics, behaviors, life cycles and their shared plight. He asserts that after the meeting nine 12-years old girls approached him on how to adopt the animal. He adds that the club's accomplishment enhanced the students' self-esteem as activists and resulted in a priceless experience that may resonate with each of them throughout their lives.
