Abstract: In this article, the editors explain the significance of teacher education in the success of early childhood education in the 21st century. The framework developed through a collaboration between the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE) and the Partnership for 21st Century Skills is highlighted. The editors emphasized that the preparation of 21st century learners is specifically significant to children in state-funded preschool programs.
