At issue is criticism of Ross voiced by Rorty in which he stated that Ross celebrated popular culture indiscriminately at the cost of an interest in electoral politics. A number of topics are addressed including Rorty's books "The Linguistic Turn: Recent Essays is Philosophical Method," and "Philosophy and the Mirror of Nature," and the work of Ross in the area of organized labor and the anti-sweatshop movement.
