| Abstract: |
The author discusses the Department for International Development (DFID), an independent cabinet ministry in Great Britain, a reorganization of Britain's Overseas Development Administration (ODA) within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The DFID is said to support the Millennium Development Goals for global primary education with an overall goal of eliminating world poverty. The published strategy of DFID is discussed, noting that it targets faith groups as one of four sectors involved in building public and political support for development. |
