Abstract: An interview with Doctor Mike Rose, the author of the book "Why School?: Reclaiming Education for All of Us," is presented. When asked on how he manages interdisciplinary focus in work and writing, he refers to his backgrounds in traditional literary studies and traditional academic psychology. Rose believes that his work was driven by events and experiences from classroom, teaching and practice. Furthermore, Rose states that writing is difficult but it is a pure satisfaction.
