Abstract: In this article the author discusses school librarians as caregivers and emphasis in school librarianship on care-based practices. She states that caring is related to overt behavior that reflects feelings with smiles and hugs and words of praise. She further discusses need of care in school environment, how caring change the way children learn, and care-based practices to be adopt by school librarians to help students.
