Abstract: This study endeavors to devise a green supplier assessment framework tailored for plastic toy manufacturers, emphasizing a collaborative ethos. The research first delineates alternative evaluation parameters drawn from relevant literature, refining them through consultations with industry experts in plastic toy manufacturing. Subsequently, employing a blend of fuzzy decision-making techniques, including fuzzy DEMATEL-based analytic network process (fuzzy DANP) and the fuzzy best worst method (fuzzy BWM), the study scrutinizes the interplay and significance of these criteria. The findings not only culminate in the creation of an evaluation framework but also underscore the paramount importance of a supplier's dedication to quality and fulfillment of manufacturing requirements in assessing collaboration readiness. Moreover, the study delineates the causal connections between these criteria. The resultant evaluation framework serves as a valuable tool for plastic toy manufacturers in identifying willing collaborators for the development of sustainable resins, consequently mitigating carbon emissions risks and minimizing the expenses associated with supplier transitions.
