| Abstract: | Policy integration is widely concerned for water–energy–food (WEF) nexus management as there always be synergies and trade-offs between WEF governance. This paper aims to study whether policy integration has promoted WEF coordination, and further to find out scenarios where it is more effective. Taking Yangtze River Delta Region Integration Development Planning (YRDRIDP) as an example, an evaluation index system was constructed to assess WEF coordination of cities in Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration, and Difference in Difference model was used to evaluate the impact of this policy on WEF coordination, as well as the environment where it was more efficient. Results showed that YRDRIDP had a positive impact on WEF coordination in this region, and the positive effects of YRDRIDP on WEF coordination enhanced in the city with more export, high level of water infrastructure, and more Internet users. Based on these results, government should pay attention to developing export trade, building water infrastructure, increasing Internet penetration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
