This can include a student acquiring knowledge or skills through employee-sponsored training or military training, earning an industry certification, or taking national standardized exams. In the 2023-24 academic year, 34,490 students earned 246,128 college credits through prior learning at institutions in the Utah System of Higher Education, saving an estimated $60.2 million in tuition and fees.
