| Abstract: | Motivation plays an important role in the Second Language Acquisition of the Learners. One that affects learners' motivation is teacher factors. Hence, the main objective of the study is to determine the extent of learners' motivation along with teacher factors. This study employed a descriptive-correlational type of study. It has revealed that the majority of the participants are female within the age range of 13-14; majority of the participants are Grade 10 students; Cebuano is the majority's heritage language; most of them prefer Filipino as a medium of instruction; and the majority's socioeconomic status is low. Furthermore, the extent of students' motivation is highly influenced by teacher factors. Pearson's correlation test revealed that age, sex, and grade level have a significant relationship to the teacher factors. However, both heritage language and preferred medium of instruction have no significant relationship with the teacher factors. Recommendations are given to help sustain students' motivation to learn English. |
