| Abstract: | This study employs bibliometric analysis to map the scientific landscape of School-Based Management (SBM) research using data from the Scopus database spanning 1984--2023. A total of 455 documents were analysed, including journal articles, reviews, and conference papers. VOSviewer was applied to generate bibliometric maps, highlighting the evolution of SBM scholarship and its intellectual structure. The findings reveal that SBM research is highly concentrated in the United States, Hong Kong, Australia, and other developed countries, with a marked surge in publications between 2018 and 2023. Key co-word clusters include school leadership, autonomy, governance, student achievement, and effectiveness, as well as broader concerns with school improvement, decentralisation, and policy reform. The analysis further identifies influential authors, seminal works, and highly cited journals, providing valuable reference points for scholars and policymakers. By systematically charting publication trends, citation patterns, and collaboration networks, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the global development and scholarly influence of SBM research. |
