| Abstract: | Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) play a critical role in promoting educational opportunity in U.S. higher education. In 2008, the Promoting Postbaccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans (PPOHA) funding program was established to expand Hispanic student access to postbaccalaureate opportunities at HSIs. Using data from academic year 2005-06 through academic year 2018-19, Hispanic postbaccalaureate enrollment patterns following PPOHA grant receipt are assessed. Results indicate that, on average, full-time Hispanic postbaccalaureate enrollment grew by more than 11% following PPOHA grant receipt. |
