Abstract: The post-pandemic period presented academicians in higher education with significant challenges in balancing various job roles and responsibilities. Interpersonal dynamics in the workplace play a crucial role in shaping employees' potential and well-being. High-quality relationships are instrumental in fostering effective job crafting behaviour, which enables employees to find meaning and purpose in their work, thereby enhancing their sense of worth. This study examines the mediating effect of job crafting on the relationship between high-quality relationships and psychological well-being among academicians. A survey design was employed, utilising a convenience sample of 227 academicians from Uttar Pradesh, India. The findings reveal that job crafting, particularly its cognitive dimension, significantly mediates the relationship between high-quality relationships and psychological well-being. This paper highlights the importance of human relationships in organisations, especially in the context of Indian higher education, where cultural intricacies influence the dynamics of workplace interactions.
