Abstract: Our study aims to investigate archery's effectiveness as an innovative program on sensory experiences, self-regulation, executive functions, and attention, comparing the results of preassessments and control groups. Participants were 7-8-year-old Waldorf school Hungarian students with sensory integration disorder symptoms. They were assigned to two groups: the experimental group (N=6; 2 girls, 4 boys) and the waitlist control group (N=6; 2 girls, 4 boys). We used a small sample experimental research design and pre- and post-assessments (1 and 2). The Sensory and Motor Experiences Questionnaire measured the groups, the Executive Skills Questionnaire (ESQ) for Grades 1-3, the Behavior Rating Scale of Young Children's Self-Perceptions (BRSPS), the Tower of Hanoi, and the Toulouse-Pieron test. The outcome of our study revealed significant differences in the experimental group between pre-assessment and post-assessment results in the development of attention and executive functions. However, no significant differences were observed in self-perception changes. Based on these findings, we conclude that archery influences the development of executive functions and attention.
