Abstract: This article shares a tool for evaluating ePortfolio technologies, which should help adopters identify their needs and assumptions about how a technology will serve them. Making needs and assumptions explicit should help adopters test assumptions in consultation with technology experts, which should clarify if a technology is a good fit for their context. Moreover, answering these questions can help adopters to make a case for a technology that best fits their needs and benefits their students--even if that technology requires a reconsideration of resources.
