| Abstract: | Traditional approaches to policy development often fail to effectively address the diverse and evolving needs of students, educators, and educational communities. In response to growing challenges and calls for reform, this study will critically examine emerging strategies for advising and developing education policies, with a focus on promoting collaboration, integrating evidence, and fostering inclusion. Drawing perspectives from recent literature and informed by practical experiences, a holistic framework for improving the policy-making process across all levels of education is proposed. The study will explore the importance of collaborative policy advisory mechanisms, emphasizing the need for meaningful engagement between researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and other stakeholders. It will advocate for the creation of interdisciplinary platforms that facilitate dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of policy solutions, drawing on existing models such as expert panels and participatory action research initiatives. By leveraging diverse perspectives, expertise, and lived experiences, collaborative mechanisms can enhance the relevance, legitimacy, and effectiveness of education policies. Furthermore, the critical role of evidence in informing decision-making processes and driving policy reforms is highlighted. Although policymakers often rely on a variety of sources, there remains a need for robust mechanisms to ensure independence, credibility, and accessibility of evidence. To address this challenge, the establishment of dedicated knowledge centers that serve as trusted repositories of evidence on educational policies and practices is proposed. Additionally, the integration of diverse forms of knowledge, including experiential insights, practitioner expertise, and community perspectives, is recommended within evidence-informed decision-making processes. |
