Abstract: A survey of 85 early childhood special educators and 88 Head Start educators in five southern states examined the adequacy of their preservice and inservice preparation to work with children, ages 3 through 5, who were prenatally exposed to cocaine. Identification methods, service patterns, preservice and inservice opportunities, and additional preparation areas were explored. (SW)
