The article in the Journal of the Faculty of Medicine of UNAM addresses the conceptions of the heart in Egyptian and Aztec cultures. While the Egyptians considered the heart as the seat of the soul, the Aztecs saw it as an essential element in their human sacrifice rituals. Both cultures reflected the importance of the heart in their religious and artistic practices. The relevance of the heart in health and culture is highlighted, promoting research and advances in cardiology to ensure a healthy and strong heart. [Extracted from the article] |

El artículo de la Revista de la Facultad de Medicina de la UNAM aborda las concepciones del corazón en las culturas egipcia y azteca. Mientras los egipcios consideraban al corazón como el asiento del alma, los aztecas lo veían como un elemento esencial en sus rituales de sacrificio humano. Ambas culturas reflejaron la importancia del corazón en sus prácticas religiosas y artísticas.
