| Abstract: | What book, or books, did you particularly enjoy this year? I read a lot of books this year and my standouts were Bone Music by David Almond (visionary), Audition by Pip Adam (also visionary), Birnam Wood by Eleanor Catton (propulsive) and The Stirrings by Catherine Taylor (stirring, brilliant). I’m confident that the ones I’ve been saving up will be equally as rewarding: Lioness by Emily Perkins, Bird Life by Anna Smaill and End Times by Rebecca Priestley. |
