| Abstract (English): | Aim: To do an exploration of the processes of construction of knowledge in relation to the sociofamilial particularities of deaf subjects. Method: A mixed design was used; four deaf youths, aged between 14 and 24, as well as their guardians participated. Semi-structured interviews, the WAIS-III and the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test -WCST- were used to collect the data. Results: The results showed that subjects with higher performance in the use of the Colombian sign language have gained more support from their families and are those who obtained higher performance in the tests applied. Conclusions: In particular, it is worth highlighting the aspects of the interpretation made by the parents about the child's needs, as well as the consequential actions, since they may have a profound impact on the development of the deaf child. | Abstract (Spanish): | Objetivo: realizar una exploración en torno a los procesos de construcción del conocimiento en relación con las particularidades socio-familiares de sujetos sordos. Método: Se utilizó un diseño mixto; se contó con la participación de cuatro jóvenes sordos cuyas edades oscilan entre 14 y 24 años, y con la de sus acudientes. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos utilizados fueron entrevistas semi-estructuradas, el WAIS-III y el Test de Clasificación de Cartas Wisconsin -WCST. Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos arrojaron que los sujetos con mayor desempeño en el uso de la Lengua de Señas Colombiana han contado con más apoyo por parte de sus familias, y son quienes obtuvieron los desempeños más elevados en las pruebas aplicadas. Conclusiones: En particular, vale la pena destacar los aspectos relacionados con la interpretción que hacen los padres de las necesidades del niño, así como las acciones consecuentes, ya que pueden tener un profundo impaco en el desarrollo del niño sordo. Método: Se utilizou um desenho misto; se contou com a participação de quatro jovens surdos cujas idades oscilam entre 14 e 24 anos, e com a de seus guardiões. Os instrumentos de recoleção de dados utilizados foram entrevistas semi-estruturadas, o WAIS-III e o Test de Classificação de Cartas Wisconsin -WCST. Resultados: Os resultados obtidos mostraram que os sujeitos com maior desempenho no uso da lingua de sinais colombiana contaram com mais apoio por parte de suas famílias, e são quem obtveram os desempenhos mais elevados nas provas aplicadas. Conclusões: Em particular, vale a pena destacar os aspectos relacionados com a interpretação que fazem os pais das necessidades da criança, assim como as ações consequentes, já que podem ter um profundo impacto no desenvolvimento da criança surda.
