Abstract: Over the last forty years, there have been important changes in the Freudian paradigm for the goals of treatment and our methods of understanding. Although the goal of treatment remains to help the patient to find her own mind, what this means and how this is accomplished has undergone many revisions from how the Freudian method was applied in the past. This article explores some of these changes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
