| Abstract: | Improved response to electroconvulsive therapy after switching from haloperidol to blonanserin in a patient with treatment-resistant schizophrenia After we replaced haloperidol with blonanserin, the patient became more resilient to mild psychological stress, her psychosis became milder, and her tolerance to the antipsychotics stopped progressing. Herein, we report a case of a woman with treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) who experienced a loss of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) efficacy possibly caused by induction of dopamine supersensitivity psychosis (DSP).
