Abstract: The article focuses on the design control feature which was the administration of a battery of premorbid prognostic indicators at index hospitalization that allows to distinguish outcomes in good vs. poor prognosis groups for those prescribed and those not prescribed antipsychotic medication, and because the battery assessed many background variables, confound by indication assessed by comparing treatment outcomes in different prognostic groups.
