Abstract: The author talks about her so-called patient-in-law, a 90-year old former educator, whom she had developed friendship along with their clinical relationship. She recalls receiving box of chocolates and a pen-syringe from her patient-in-law. She describes how she continued correspondence with her patient during the COVID-19 pandemic. She shares having launch with her patient at the hospital cafeteria and how the pandemic affected his time going to church as a devout Christian.
