The author reflects on the significance of clinical placement in the training of counseling psychologists from a National Health Service Adult Psychology and Counselling Service provider's perspective. He discusses the difficulty facing trainees regarding access to placements and supervisors, the risk of dual relationships and the importance for trainees to familiarize themselves with their own codes of practice. |
