| Abstract: | The study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the difficulty of adapting to old age on the social vulnerability of individuals over the age of 65. The study was in cross-sectional design and the sample consisted of 200 people. The data were collected with the scale of social vulnerability and difficulty in adapting to old age. In the study, it was determined that the total score of social vulnerability was moderate (29.54 ± 10.28), and the total score of difficulty in adapting to old age was at a good level (1.15 ±.57). Social vulnerability in the elderly explained 32.6% of the total variance in the difficulty of adapting to old age. In the study, the elderly's adaptation to old age was found to be at a good level and their Social vulnerability was found to be at a moderate level. It has been found that elderly people with low education levels and single elderly people have lower adaptation to old age. Creating adaptation to old age; It was determined that there was a moderate relationship between role and self-actualization, mutual attachment, physiological state, self-style parameters and Social vulnerability.
