| Abstract (English): | The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), a Hispanic Serving and Carnegie R1 institution, serves as a pathway for socioeconomically diverse Hispanic/Latino (H/L) health profession students via equal-access strategies. The Center for Institutional Evaluation, Research, and Planning data illustrates UTEP's success in graduating H/L health professionals (i.e., allied health, nursing, pharmacy, and psychology) students between 2014 and 2023. Nearly 90% of these graduates are employed in Texas one year after graduation, and 85% remain employed after 10 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | La Universidad de Texas en El Paso (UTEP), una Institución al Servicio de Hispanos y Carnegie R1, juega un papel fundamental como puente para estudiantes Hispanos/Latinos (H/L) de diversos orígenes socioeconómicos que buscan carreras en el ámbito de la salud. A través de estrategias que promueven la igualdad de acceso. Los datos recopilados por el Centro de Evaluación Institucional, Investigación y Planificación revelan el éxito de UTEP en la formación y graduación de profesionales de la salud H/L (es decir, salud aliada, enfermería, farmacia y psicología) entre 2014 y 2023.
