Abstract: The article describes an approach for modelling the reception and implementation of formative feedback by medical students. The approach aims to encourage students to develop a growth mindset and the skills to transform feedback into actionable goals. A 90-minute session was added to a year 1 course on immunology and infectious disease at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College to introduce the concept of receiving and implementing feedback involving the faculty course director.
