| Abstract: |
The article critically examines the contemporary political and ecological emergency in the United States through the lens of historical and ongoing systems of supremacy, particularly white and Christian supremacy. It situates the current political movement exemplified by Project 2025—a detailed plan to reshape federal institutions and policies toward authoritarian, theocratic, and exclusionary ends—within a broader genealogy of colonial genocide, racialized slavery, and species domination that began with European colonization and the Doctrine of Christian Discovery. The author highlights the convergence of white supremacist mobilization, Christian nationalist ideology, militant gun culture, and billionaire tech influence as driving forces behind this movement. Emphasizing indigenous perspectives on ecological interdependence and sustainability, the article calls for a fundamental reorientation toward living within ecological limits and honoring reciprocal relationships with the more-than-human world as a necessary response to the planetary crisis.
