Abstract: The article focuses on challenges in conceptualization, measurement and intervention which are associated with enabling children with special needs to participate in everyday life activities. In the article the author offers his opinions on the challenges and on subject areas related to the participation of children with special needs, including conceptualization, measurement and intervention, which should be the focus of additional research. Research which has examined children with special needs' participation in everyday activities is examined.
