| Abstract: |
In this article the authors discuss the failure of the European Commission's (EC's) agricultural reforms to protect biodiversity. Topics include the additional steps European Union (EU) Member States (MS) need to take to protect farmed and grassland ecosystems, the reformed Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for 2014-2020, the ecological impacts of agricultural expansion and intensification, the establishment of Ecological Focus Areas (EFAs), and agri-environment-climate schemes (AESs). |
