| Abstract: |
The article discusses the author's views on the convergence of data, voice, and video over Internet protocol (IP). He argues that IP is a part of a bigger and intensifying battle between the two long term protagonists namely the cable companies and local telephone exchange carriers. He points out that the creation of these hybrid systems offer promise to colleges and schools by extending the functionality of spaces and eliminating the walls that separate K-12 from higher education. |
